GLASS HOUSES is the second novel in Nolan's Birdie Keane series. Kirkus also liked her first, BURDEN OF TRUTH, but was a little more cautious with praise: "Nolan packs quite a twist in her debut, but Birdie’s tour through pedophilia and rampant homophobia will make this a tough tale for many readers."
